| Radiative. An adjective that well defines the way light comes from within Britton Black's imagery. His unmistakable look is dark, intriguing and illuminated in such a way that is difficult to describe. Over the last 7 years Britton has refined his style to reflect a very specific way of working. This tailored approach has yielded consistent and uniform results from within this fluid body of work. Britton is a third generation photographer combining his world experiences with formal educational experience. Britton's grandfather (an RIT graduate) began this three generation succession in 1934. Fine art studies at Northern Illinois University graduating to commercial emphasis at Harrington College of Design became Britton's chosen path. The combination of tight knit industry comrades, formal education and family background have helped him to excel exponentially. |
